My Story

I was born and raised in Colorado, sliding on snow before I could walk and floating down the river before I could talk. Yoga came into my life a few years later as a grounding force, a way to tune in and slow down amid the constant motion. My initial draw to yoga was a very physical one, a way to balance out all the other activities and keep my body strong and free from injury. As for many people I have been drawn deeper into yoga the more that I practice, growing a deep passion for aligning body and mind.

I have been practicing yoga for 14 years, and have a strong understanding of what it means to grow within and also through a practice of yoga. As I traveled through life, I have been drawn more and more to my practice. I am eager to share knowledge with other people seeking to connect with their bodies and minds through the practice of movement and meditation.

I still have a strong passion for being active outdoors. I have worked hard to achieve high level certification as a ski instructor. Teaching skiing for 8 years has continually strengthened my passion for the sport and I love participating in trainings and gaining certifications. I am also certified as a stand up paddle board instructor. Water has always been a strong presence in my life and a driving force for personal growth.

My Mission

My goal is to share my passion for movement, and help others find joy in their bodies. I want to help others tune into the potential of their own true self and be stronger than ever. I teach to help people strengthen body and mind to be able to do the things they love. I thrive on seeing the joy in someone's face when they finally nail their bump turns, fine tune the efficiency of their SUP stroke, or find their full expression of the asana they have been striving for.

The teacher must ever walk warily, between the necessity of inducing those conformities which, in every generation reaffirm our rebellious humanity, and allowing for the free play of the creative spirit.
